WMG Academy Solihull Celebrates Outstanding Student Success
We are celebrating another year of outstanding destinations for all students in Year 13.
WMG Academy Chief Executive, Stewart Tait, commented, “I am delighted that students at the WMG Academies have had their commitment and endeavours rewarded with impressive examination results that will allow them to progress to the next stage of their journey, be that University, Apprenticeships or direct employment. Whilst it is always pleasing to report year on year improvements in results, this year has seen a significant increase in the highest grades gained in A Levels (A*-B) and in Technical Qualifications at Distinction * and Distinction. In our areas of specialism, over a third of students achieved the very highest grades. WMG Academy for Young Engineers is proud to be partnered with a large number of national and international employer partners who work with our students to develop their employability skills, which is evident in the fantastic destinations that many students have secured.
We are particularly proud to share that the number of students achieving distinctions including distinction star’s in our Level 3 BTEC Engineering Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A levels) has doubled. The same can also be said for our Level 3 BTEC Engineering Diploma (equivalent to 2 A levels). In A level Further Maths we are proud to share the average grade students achieved was an A.
