WMG Academy helps students get set for life
Set just a few miles from the centre of England, WMG Academy Solihull is a thriving centre for students with an interest in science, technology, engineering or maths.
The career-based education on offer engages students, helping them find their niche, reach their potential and kickstart a career in the real world.
From the business dress to the longer working day, as well as opportunities to work with companies on real-life projects, parents see their child’s confidence grow and their employment potential soar.
The multi-million pound building – with its own Jaguar car, professional design suite, eight 3D printers and state-of-the-art engineering hall – looks like no other school. It has the ‘wow’ factor.
Our aim is for our students to leave at the age of 16 or 18 with apprenticeships, jobs, university places or college courses.
WMG Academy works closely with the University of Warwick and businesses to provide an education that is interesting, engaging and useful in the world of work.
Students learn life skills such as public speaking, interview techniques and presentation skills, alongside GCSEs, A-levels and technical qualifications.
They are offered continuing opportunities to meet and work with some of the biggest national and global companies, including JLR, Aston Martin, Balfour Beatty, Arup, and National Grid.
