We had the pleasure of taking 38 Year 10 students on a Weekend STEM Revision Trip to PGL. During the weekend the students took part in various educational revision support lessons for Maths, Science, Engineering and English.
On top of this the students also took part in Canoeing, Axe Throwing, Climbing and The Giant Swing. Overall the students had a fantastic time mixing education with adventure activities. Three students were nominated by PGL staff for being “Student Champions” and won special recognition for their efforts on the trip, showing how truly amazing our students are. Well done to Harvey Gibbs, Connor Evans and Tianna Walker.
Livi Thompson – Year 10 “I really enjoyed the activities and my favourite was the Canoeing. The water balloon fight we had on the Saturday evening was one of the best parts of the weekend. I am really looking forward to going again next year if I get the chance”
Coben Coton – Year 10 “The weekend was really good, and I was so pleased to be able to go, I was able to work with my friends on the activities and the food was amazing. The PGL staff were brilliant and it was great to see our normal teachers outside the classroom and be able to have a laugh with them”
Myles Fuller – Year 10 “It was a great weekend, and a nice change of pace. The PGL staff were really fun to work alongside with, and the revision sessions weren’t as bad as I thought they would be. The best activity whilst I was there was the Canoeing, and we got a lot of down time being able to play football, and socialise with our friends during the breaks we had. I am looking forward to going next year, and I would really encourage others to go if they get the chance”.
