During the last half term, a team of Year 12 students won the WMG round of the UTC Health Tech Challenge, a competition which involves working in teams to create a product that solves a problem for a particular demographic of people. They designed and created an app called ‘Clarify’ to help people with health conditions check their food to see whether it is safe for them to eat. Our victorious team travelled to the University of Lincoln to compete against other UTCs around the UK in the final, which involved them creating a stand to showcase their product and present to judges and their peers. The team received great feedback from the judges on their professionalism and quality of their prototype, and they really enjoyed being able to showcase all their hard work and meet other students from UTCs around the country!
