WMG Academy Solihull Celebrates 100% A-level Pass
Students at WMG Academy Solihull are today celebrating a 100% A –level pass rate and the academy’s highest ever engineering results.
97% of BTEC engineering results at the Chelmsley Road academy were graded at Merit or above, while all A-level students passed.
Stewart Tait, Principal of WMG Academy Solihull, said: “We are delighted that we have achieved such strong results only three years after opening. Our students are a credit to the academy and the hard work of both staff and students has shone through.
“This has been a positive set of results for us, following on from our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating earlier this year.
“We will continue to ensure that future students build on this success and continue to bridge the skills gap in the UK engineering sector.”
WMG Academy for Young Engineers provides GCSE, A-level and BTEC education for 14 to 19-year-olds. It opened in 2016 and boasts a state-of-the-art engineering hall and Computer Aided Design suite.
