Online Safety
Keeping students safe online is an important part of safeguarding at WMG Academy Solihull. Students receive age-appropriate online safety education throughout their time at the Academy, through lessons, form time and assemblies.
Topics include:
- cyber-bullying
- online grooming and exploitation
- sharing images online
- social media safety
- digital wellbeing and responsible online behaviour
- privacy, security and protecting personal information
Technology is an important part of teaching and learning at WMG Academy, and we want students to use it confidently, responsibly and safely. Our filtering and monitoring systems are regularly reviewed to help protect students from inappropriate or harmful online content, and we work with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to ensure our arrangements remain effective and respond to emerging online risks.

Reporting a Concern
If you are concerned about a student’s online safety, please contact a member of our Safeguarding Team through Academy Reception.
Concerns relating to online exploitation can also be reported directly through the CEOP Safety Centre.
