Outstanding Year 12 students in WMG Academy, across our Coventry and Solihull academies delivered compelling pitches to Enzen Global Limited at the National Automotive Innovation Centre at WMG, University of Warwick, as part of their projects for Mission: Sustainability 2025.
Celebrating our second year of our partnership, this year’s theme challenge was “How can digital automation promote sustainable habits and drive positive change for a healthier planet?” Five groups of students designed a app concept, created a business plan to bring the app to life and demonstrate it using a wireframe, model or CAD. (One group, Leafy Legends got as far as a functional prototype to demonstrate!)
Amazing employer projects such as these genuinely demonstrate how the next generation of engineers could tackle sustainability challenges, with five unique concepts on offer.
Thank you Zoe Vizor for coordinating this year’s project, Louise Carter for your support and inspiring speech to launch the day, and to Enzen judges Srikanth Arya and Darren McNulty who posed challenging questions. Also, thank you to Andrew Kyprianou, Tom S. and Pete Mockeridge for supporting the project and creating a memorable industry experience!
Well done to all our students who all delivered compelling concepts and are certainly going to be the future professionals to watch. Can’t wait for next year’s challenge!
